J. W. "Jack" Sassaman, CPA, MBA, merged his accounting practice into the Firm on August 1, 2004. Mr. Sassaman graduated from Memphis State University in 1977, and from the University of South Alabama in 1981. He has over 25 years experience and has been a CPA since November, 1982. He worked as a plant controller before joining the Internal Revenue Service, where he worked for five years. He then joined a large local firm for two years before moving to large regional firm as a Tax Manager. He left that firm on September 17, 1990 to form his own practice until merging with Sirmon & Simmons, P.C. in 2004. Mr. Sassaman is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Mobile Estate Planning Council and various other civic and business associations.
